Utility vehicle major Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M) launched TUV300 SUV powered by the powerful mHawk100 engine priced at Rs. 8.87 lakh ( ex-showroom, Mumbai). The mHawk100 engine borrowed from the recently-launched NuvoSport SUV will be sold with top end variants of T8 and T8 AMT (Rs. 9.60 lakh) in the TUV300.
The TUV300 with mHawk100 engine will develop 100bhp and 240Nm of torque mated to either five-speed manual or AMT transmission. Mahindra TUV300 is sold till now with a 1.5-litre three-cylinder mHawk80 diesel engine that develops 84bhp at 3,750rpm and 230Nm of torque at 1,500 rpm mated to either a five-speed manual or an AMT gearbox in T4, T6, and T8 variants. These variants will continue to be sold.
A company statement said the TUV300 will also offer a more comfortable ride with better cushioned seats in the second row and come with ISOFIX child seat mounts to ensure safety of a child passenger. The first SUV to be offered with AMT transmission in India, the TUV300 has found over 25,000 takers after it was launched in September 2015.

With the arrival of mHawk100 engine equipped TUV300, the prices for the compact SUV fall in the range of Rs. 7.25 lakh to Rs. 9.60 lakh, ex-showroom, Mumbai.
