Mahindra & Mahindra launched a new mild hybrid technology equipped version of the New Generation Scorpio on Wednesday. Dubbed as Scorpio Intelli-Hybrid, the new version is priced at Rs Rs.12.84 lac (Navi Mumbai, BS4) for the top-end S10-2WD model.
According to Mahindra, The Intelli-Hybrid technology reduces fuel consumption by up to seven per cent by assisting the engine with electric power during acceleration. It automatically switches engine off while the vehicle is stationary (start-stop) and regenerates brake energy while applying brakes to charge the battery. The Intelli-Hybrid will be available on the 2.2-litre mHAWK engine in S4, S4+, S4+ 4wd, S6+, S8, S10-2WD manual and S10-4WD manual initially.

At present, the Scorpio is also sold in a limited edition christened as Adventure Edition in India. Limited to 1000 units, the Adventure Edition features alloy wheels with the Gun Metal dark theme and the stand-out Red brake callipers, rear view mirrors with integrated side indicator, smoked tail lamps and the triple jet windscreen washer. The special edition is based on the top-spec S10 variant and is sold in 2WD and 4WD version. Scorpio Adventure edition 2WD has been priced at Rs. 13,07,329 and 4WD version at Rs. 14,24,012, ex-showroom, Mumbai.
