Original Story

The stage is all set to welcome the new compact SUV from the house of Mahindra and Mahindra. Mahindra NuvoSport, the third compact SUV offering of Mahindra, will be launched in India Monday, April 4.

The NuvoSport, which will replace the Quanto from the Indian market, will be positioned between the TUV300 and the KUV100. The SUV, which will be pitted against Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza and Ford EcoSport in the sub-continent market, is expected to be priced at around Rs. 6.5 lakh.

Mahindra NuvoSport has been designed and developed in-house by the company's design team and its research and development has been carried out at Mahindra Research Valley (MRV) in Chennai. The NuvoSport, the facelifted avatar of the Quanto, is expected to be offered in four variants — N4, N4+, N6 and N8. The new NuvoSport carries similar outlook of the Quanto, but the front and rear profiles have adopted a new design.

The new SUV, which will come with seven-seater layout, is expected to house new features like cruise control, touch screen infotainment system, eight-way adjustable seats with lumbar support and a new steering wheel.

Under the skin of the NuvoSport is likely to be the 1.5-litre Quanto engine, which will develop 100bhp of power and 240Nm of torque. Underpinning the new-generation platform as the Scorpio, the NuvoSport is also expected to come with safety features like airbags and ABS.
