Mahindra Mojo 300 in testing phase.

Mahindra two-wheelers appears ready to reveal its highly-anticipated Mojo 300 motorbike in India as the company is back on the road to test the vehicle again.

It has been long since we last talked about Mojo 300 and now the bike is back in the limelight, spawning new debates whether Mahindra will present it to the Indian two-wheeler lovers during this festive season or we have to wait a little while longer.

A prototype of Mahindra Mojo has been snapped testing virtually undisguised by BikeAdvice reader Vikas Kadawe, giving us a clear view of the finished design of the bike.

Mahindra has been keeping the two-wheeler enthusiasts in the country on tenterhooks ever since its first appearance at Auto Expo 2010.

The bike was linked to different launch dates and we assumed the Mojo 300 would make its way to our market by mid of this year, but that did not happen. Now it looks like the company is finally ready to launch its Mojo.

The two-wheeler lovers who are waiting to swing their legs over this big bike from Mahindra will surely have an idea of what to expect on the arrival of Mojo 300. Under the hood, Mahindra's new offering is expected to pack 300cc liquid cooled, 4-stroke single-cylinder engine, which can churn out a power of 27bhp at 8,000rpm and a peak torque 25nm at 6,500rpm, and is likely to come coupled to a six-speed transmission. The stopping power of the bike is likely to come from the disc brakes seen on both front and rear wheels.

Mojo 300 is expected to include features like LED daytime-running lights and a new fuel tank and most importantly the bike is likely to flaunt USD (Up Side Down) forks and twin mufflers. Other features expected include mudguard, Pirelli Sport Demon tyres mounted on Y-spoke black alloy wheels and LED tail-light.

In India, Mahindra Mojo 300 will be competing with Bajaj Pulsar CS, Pulsar SS, Kawasaki Ninja 300R, Honda CBR 250R/300R and KTM Duke 390. A full reveal of the bike is expected to take place by the end of this year and from what we heard, it is expected to get a price tag of around ₹2 lakh.
