Mahindra e2o Plus launched in India at Rs 5.46 lakh; all you need to know

Mahindra Electric on Friday launched the new e2o Plus with a price tag starting at Rs 5.46 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi, post state subsidy and FAME incentive). The e2o Plus can travel for up to 140 km on a full charge and can be quickly charged in 90 minutes.

Offered in 4 trim levels -- P2, P4, P6 and P8 -- the e2o Plus comes in four colours -- Coral Blue, Sparkling Wine, Arctic Silver and Solid White. The e2o Plus comes with a host of features such as remote diagnostics through telematics, connectivity through a smartphone app, new infotainment system, regenerative braking and Hill Hold control automated messages, among others.

The e2o Plus is longer by 310mm, wider by 61mm and taller by 25mm than the current model. The four-door electric car has 10 onboard computers that track around 196 performance and health-related parameters to ensure that any possible snag is fixed as soon as it crops up and e2oPlus app to keep the driver informed at the nearest charging station. The e2o Plus comes powered by an electric motor that is driven by 72V battery, which can generate 40bhp of power and 91Nm of torque in the top-end variant P8. While the e2o Plus P8 variant will offer 140 km electric range, the rest of the variants will have 110 km range.

The e2o Plus is the third electric vehicle being launched this year, after e-Verito and e-Supro.
