Thanks to the motor buffs at Team BHP for the clear snaps of the facelifted avatar of XUV500. Mahindra is expected to launch its new XUV500 facelift in the market in May and from the latest images, it looks like the latest avatar of the model is ready to be shipped to the dealers.

Judging from the images, the XUV500 facelift stays very much within the style of the current model, but of course with fresh styling on the front.

On the front fascia, the noticeable changes are the new headlamp clusters with projector, 'S' shaped daytime running LEDs, chrome enriched grille and fog lights and wider air dam.

The side profile of the facelift does not seem to include many changes except the new 10-spoke alloy wheels. At the back too, the XUV500 facelift is expected to remain the same as the current model in the market.

There is nothing much to talk about the interior of the new XUV500 facelift as it is being carried over from the existing model of XUV500. Seen in the latest spy shot is a XUV500 facelift donned in purple body paint. This colour could be a new inclusion in the colour palette of the model.

Under the bonnet, XUV 500 facelift is likely to carry over the same 2.2-litre four-cylinder mHawk diesel mill, which currently generates a power of 140 bhp at 3,750 rpm and a peak torque of 330 Nm at 1,600-2,800 rpm.

Expected to be priced around ₹11.5 lakh, the new XUV500 facelift will compete against the likes of Tata Safari Storme and Renault Duster in India.
