Popular UV maker Mahindra pulled the wraps off its highly anticipated XUV500 facelift in India on Monday, 25 May, at a starting price of ₹11.21 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).

The new facelifted avatar of XUV500 is the latest in the cheetah-inspired model, which has been on the Indian roads since 2011. In its new avatar, XUV500 facelift gets styling changes both inside and outside along with a slew of new features. The company has also added a new top-of-the-line variant, W10, in the XUV500 line-up, which is priced at ₹15.99 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The XUV500 W10 gets new features like electric sunroof.

As for styling, the new XUV500 looks stylish with its new front grille with chrome inserts and fog lamps and the side profile of the new XUV500 includes 10 spoke 17 inch alloy wheel. The windows of new XUV500 also get chrome lining and there is also illuminated scuff plate on the menu.

Inside the cabin, the car indeed gets an upmarket interior with the new dual-tone beige and Sliver colour theme. The interior of XUV500 includes new beige leather seats, fully automatic temperature control and tilt power steering.

Coming to the safety features, the new XUV500 has six airbags (front, side and curtain), Electronic Stability Programme (ESP), Hill Descent and Hill Hold control, and ABS with EBD.

Other features of new XUV500 includes reverse parking, logo-projection lamps on OVRMS, six ways power adjustable driver seat, Push button start /stop, Keyless entry and 7-inch infotainment touch-screen.

Under the hood, it carries the same 2.2-litre four-cylinder mHawk diesel mill that generates a power of 140 bhp at 3,750 rpm and a peak torque of 330 Nm at 1,600-2,800 rpm. The new XUV500 facelift promises a fuel efficiency of 16 kmpl.

The XUV500 facelift is available in seven body paints, including two new colours: sunsets orange and pearl white. The model is available for bookings across Mahindra showrooms immediately.
