Telugu superstar Mahesh Babu's son Gautham Krishna is all set to star in his first film.

Gautham will be seen playing the younger version of Mahesh Babu in action-thriller "One- Nenokkadine". Initially, Mahesh was against having his son in the film as he felt that Gautham was too young to make his entry on screen. But the film's director Sukumar reportedly convinced the actor after which some portions involving Gautham were shot in London on Sunday (7 July).

"Gautham is playing the younger version of Mahesh in the film. Some important scenes on Gautham were shot yesterday (July 7) in London," the film's spokesperson told Indo-Asian News Service.

"It was after great difficulty that (director) Sukumar convinced Mahesh to feature his son in the film. Initially, Mahesh felt Gautham was too young to enter films," he added.

"One - Nenokkadine" is reportedly a psychological thriller film, wherein Mahesh Babu will appear sporting three different get-ups. For the first time, the actor will be seen flaunting his six-pack abs, for which he underwent some training with world-renowned trainer Kris Gethin.

The film will have newcomer Kriti Sanon playing the female lead. The other cast members include Sayaji Shinde, Kelly Dorji, Vikram Singh and Srinivasa Reddy. It is produced by Ram Achanta, Gopichand Achanta and Anil Sunkara under the 14 Reels Entertainment banner.

The shooting of the action thriller is progressing in London. A small teaser of the film which was released two months ago has already generated a lot of buzz among Mahesh fans. There is no confirmation on the film's release date, though the makers are reportedly planning to release it in the last week of September. In that case, the Mahesh starrer might clash with Jr NTR's "Ramayya Vastavayya" which is scheduled to release on 27 September.
