The suspense is over. "Srimanthudu" will be released in theatres across the globe on 17 July, says superstar Mahesh Babu. The revelation came on 31 May, the 72nd birthday of his father, superstar Krishna.
Mahesh Babu lived up to his fans' expectations, who were thrilled when the makers of "Srimanthudu" unveiled the movie's teaser on YouTube as a birthday gift to superstar Krishna.
After watching the 61-second video in which the Prince looks impressive, movie buffs were eager to know the release date.
Mahesh Babu, who is quite active on Twitter of late, thanked his fans for their superb response to the teaser of "Srimanthudu" in his tweet on 31 May: "Thank you for an overwhelming response 4 The first look of Srimanthudu :)"
Later, Mahesh Babu revealed that "Srimanthudu" will be released worldwide on 17 July. He hoped that it would be another day to remember in his career. He wrote, "July 17 it is ! With all ur love n blessings it will be another memorable day in my career :)"
The Tollywood star thanked members of his film's unit for their efforts in making "Srimanthudu" a wonderful experience. The actor tweeted, "Thankyou Koratala siva , Madhie , DSP, and producers Naveen,Ravi,CVM and the entire MYTHRI team.."
Mahesh Babu did not have a favourable 2014, as two of his highly-talked films "1: Nenokkadine" and "Aagadu" failed to make it big at box offices worldwide.
The superstar has pinned all his hopes on "Srimanthudu". It remains to be seen whether the film manages to impress viewers and become another a money spinner for him.
