Superstar Mahesh Babu and ace director AR Murugadoss, who are teaming up for the first time, are reportedly charging Rs. 45 crore together for their much-talked about untitled movie.

Mahesh Babu's next movie has been making it to the headlines for some reason or the other ever since AR Murugadoss announced it. Many film-goers know that it film is being made with whopping budget of Rs. 80 crore and it will be the costliest budget film in Mahesh Babu's career. But very few are aware of the fact that more than 50 percent of its budget forms the salary of the hero and the director.

Mahesh Babu was reportedly charging Rs. 15 crore for every movie in 2014 and he hiked it by Rs. 3 crore and got Rs. 18 crore for "Srimanthudu." After its huge success, he further hiked his salary by Rs. 7 crore and reportedly received Rs. 25 crore as remuneration for "Brahmotsavam." The actor is reportedly getting the same amount of fees for his next movie to be directed by Murugadoss.

AR Murugadoss reportedly received Rs. 12 crore for superstar Vijay's "Thuppakki," which was a big hit at the box office. Following its success, the director hiked his salary to Rs. 18 crore for his next movie titled "Kaththi," which also starred Vijay and became a blockbuster success at the box office. He has now once again increased his remuneration to Rs. 20 crore, according to the reports.

However, this yet-to-be-titled movie is currently in the pre-production stage. Mahesh Babu, who is now holidaying in London with his family, is expected to start its shooting from July 15. Murugadoss is now busy with finalising the cast and crew of the film. The director is considering popular South Indian actress Shruti Haasan for the female lead opposite Prince in the film.
