Patna, Sep 07 (ANI): In first-of-its kind initiative, a luxury cruise carrying Japanese tourists was flagged off in sacred River Ganges from Bihar to holy town of Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh. The cruise-MV Rajmahal-sailed in waters of River Ganges, with 24 Japanese tourists on board, who will get a glimpse of India's holy Varanasi town. The cruise will travel a distance of over 420 kilometres in seven nights. During the seven-day trip, tourists will see Mughal era Chunar Fort, including British cemetery, Maharaja Palace, Buddhist site Sarnath, Sasaram Fort, Buxar, Nalanda and Bodh Gaya. Cruise manager, Kunal Singh said this was the first cruise that they had started, which will stop at Chunar fort. The cruise has 22 air-conditioned cabins with large windows which give a view of the Ganges and its banks.
