"Loukyam" hit screens on 26 September amid good response from the critics who termed the film as a fun-filled entertainer. The comedy entertainer, directed by Sriwaas, has also received positive feedback from the fans. Gopichand, who is known for doing action oriented films, has tried his hands at comedy in "Loukaym."

Despite the release of Mahesh Babu's "Aagadu," "Loukyam" managed to perform decently at the box office. The film earned around ₹2.1 crore share on the first day and it has managed to hold well on the second and third day.

The Gopichand starrer raked in approximately ₹6.8 crore share in its first weekend at the worldwide box office and continued its run despite the release of Ram Charan's "Govindudu Andarivadele" on 1 October. Although the business of "Loukyam" has been affected by the release of Ram Charan's film, the Gopichand starrer still managed to fare well at the box office.

The comedy entertainer has turned out to be a hit at the box office. Gopichand's last release "Sahasam" minted ₹13.5 crore share in its full run at the worldwide box office. It will be interesting to see if "Loukyam" manages to beat the total collections of "Sahasam."

With no big releases for the next few days, "Loukaym" might continue to hold on to some screens and perform decent business in its second week.
