Lohri 2016 is here and the people of Punjab and parts of North India are all set to celebrate the festival. While food is a very important part of any festival, songs play a vital role too. 

The festival of Lohri marks the passing of Winter solstice, which happens to be the shortest day and longest night of the year. One of the key elements in Lohri celebration is setting up a bonfire.

Lohri celebrations have been shown in a number of Bollywood movies as well. Bollywood has a number of Punjabi songs which get place in most of the celebrations. Apart from movie songs, there are a host of Punjabi songs from albums, which are also very popular.
