9:05 pm IST: The second half is under way!

HALF TIME! As things stand, India are going out of the FIFA World Cup. The hosts have defended very deep and very brightly at times, so the goal from Ghana has come in really hard. Can the second half bring luck though.

43' GOAL! Ghana have scored the opener of the match. The captain Eric Ayiah slots it home.

40' The Ghana team are absolutely left frustrated by the resolute Indian defence. Meanwhile, a moment of worry as Dheeraj is down and receives treatment in the field.

The gifted custodian is back up though, but can he continue the full 90 minutes?

33' Boris Singh receives a yellow card for a high boot. Ghana receive a free kick right at the edge of the box. And Ayiah has skied it. What an embarrassing shot!

30' Half an hour of the match comes to an end. It is goalless so far, but the match has not been boring at all.

27' WHAT A SHOT! Gyamfi stuns the crowd with his long-ranger. Misses the goal by a whisker. In the meantime, the likes of Anwar Ali and Boris Singh are turning attention with their defensive display and clean tackles.

20' Boris has a shot on goal, but a comfortable save for the Ghana keeper. On the other end, Dheeraj denies Ibrahim a chance to get the lead for the away team.

15' India's Boris Singh, meanwhile, is terrorising the left flank. Blistering pace from the youngster!

Sanjeev Stalin comes close to scoring from a free-kick. So close.

7:30 pm IST: 30 odd minutes to go for the BIG kick-off from the JLN Stadium in Delhi. Can India win at least one match in the tournament?

7:25 pm IST: Reminder, India have a herculean task to seal qualification to the knockout stages of the FIFA U-17 World Cup 2017.

  • Firstly, they have to win against Ghana by at least three goals.
  • Secondly, USA need to beat Colombia by at least two goals for India to progress further.

The hosts have conceded five goals in the tournament and that has come really hard.
