A school girl was disappointed to meet President Obama in her school as she was expecting Beyoncé instead of him as a guest.

On Thursday, the US president and Michelle Obama visited the Inspired Teaching School in Northeast Washington. They were there to participate in a project to commemorate 11 September as the National Day of Service, according to BuzzFeed News.

A sixth grader named Madison told the president about her disappointment on his presence made everybody laugh. She said she was expecting the popstar Beyoncé when she heard that the school was going to call a special guest.

"Then I realised it was gonna be you," said Madison, reports BuzzFeed News.

On her innocent confession, President Obama said, "Malia and Sasha would feel the same way."

And according to ABC news, the first lady joked, "I'd rather see Beyoncé," getting a big smile from her husband.

The President and the first lady filled backpacks of the homeless children with toys. When it was Madison's turn, she tried to make up for what she said earlier. ABC news reports, the little girl said, "but then I realised it was going to be you and that's even better."

Obama certainly didn't buy this and said, "I appreciate you saying that in front of the press, I know it's not really true."
