Samsung officially released the new Galaxy S7 series in global markets last week. Now, a London-based jeweller has begun selling limited-edition pure-gold-encrusted Samsung flagship phones in the UK.
Goldgenie is offering Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 edge, covered in 24 karat gold, for a whopping £2,097 (around $3,012/€2,700/RS 2,02,155) and £2,297 (around $3,330/€2,957/RS 2,21,350), respectively. The company is giving away special Cherry Oak-finish wood-based smartphone boxes with the phones.
The internal specifications of the gold-encased Galaxy S7 series phones are the same as the original.
The Galaxy S7 comes with flat display panel, whereas the S7 edge sports a dual-edge curved screen. The latter is bit bigger, with a 5.5-inch screen. On the other hand, the Galaxy S7 sports a 5.1-inch display. Both phones boast QHD (2560x1440p) resolution screen with "Always On" feature.
The Galaxy S7 series has IP68 water-resistant certification and a microSD-card slot.

The limited-edition Galaxy S7 and S7 edge phones come with either Qualcomm's 2.2GHz Snapdragon 820 or Samsung's Exynos 8890 processor backed by 4GB RAM and 64GB inbuilt memory with an option of expansion up to 200GB.
Interested buyers can order the Samsung devices online. They are required to pay 50 percent of the total price as down payment to book the devices. [For more information, click HERE].
Rumour has it Samsung is planning to launch a limited-edition "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" series Galaxy S7 phones as well.
