['Life of Josutty', 'Ennu Ninte Moideen, 'Urumbukal Urangarilla' release dates postponed]

"Life of Josutty", a joint venture by filmmaker Jeethu Joseph and actor Dileep, will hit theatres next week, according to the latest reports.

Earlier, the film was scheduled for release on 18 September. However, the makers said the film has been postponed to 24 September.

The trailer of "Life of Josutty" was released on Wednesday, 2 September.

Five Reasons why Dileep-Jeethu Joseph movie 'Life of Josutty' is a must-watch:

  • A film by Jeethu Joseph after 'Drishyam'

"Life of Josutty" is directed by "Drishyam" director Jeethu Joseph, which will be the sole reason why film-goers will throng to theatres to watch the upcoming movie.

"Drishyam" created records at the box office becoming the highest-grossing film in the history of Malayalam cinema. The film was also remade in all other South Indian languages and in Bollywood.

While the Tamil version "Papanasam" had Kamal Haasan in the lead role, the Kannada remake "Drishya" and Telugu version "Drushyam" had V Ravichandran and Daggubati Venkatesh, respectively.

  • A Romantic Drama starring King of Romance

"Life of Josutty" is touted as a romantic drama, which stars Dileep, the king of romance. This could be another reason why the film will be a box-office hit.

Though the film is not an out-and-out comedy, it will surely have humorous elements to entertain Dileep's fans.

The strong foothold that the actor has among the family audience is expected to help the movie.

  • A Family Entertainer

Director Jeethu Joseph had already clarified that "Life of Josutty" will be family entertainer with no suspense or twist unlike his previous films, "Drishyam" and "Memories".

The upcoming Dileep-starrer is about the 30 years in the life of Josutty. It was shot in Kattappana (Idukki) and New Zealand.

Dileep will play the titular role of Josutty. The cast will also have Rachana Narayanankutty, Jyothi Krishna, Aqsa Bhatt, Suraj Venjarammoodu and Sunil Sukhada in pivotal roles.

  • Debut Malayalam Venture by Eros International

"Life of Josutty" is the debut production venture in Malayalam by Eros International, which is a leading global company in Indian film industry.

Immediately after the Jeethu Joseph film was announced, the share value of Eros International reportedly surged by 3.98% at the stock market.

  • Second Project by Dileep-Jeethu Joseph Team

The duo will be teaming up for the second time after "My Boss", which was a laugh riot in theatres. The success of the 2012 film might have given Jeethu the confidence to team up with Dileep once again. The film was a loose remake of the 2009 Hollywood film, "The Proposal".
