South Korean consumer electronics major LG launched a new phablet dubbed as Stylus 2 ahead of Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2016, Barcelona.
The new Stylus 2 is the successor of G4 Stylus, which was unveiled in May last year. It sports 5.7-inch HD display with In-cell Touch technology and comes with Android Marshmallow OS powered by 1.2GHz quad-core processor backed by 1.5GB RAM, 16GB inbuilt memory and a 3000 mAh battery.
LG Stylus 2 also houses 13MP camera with LED flash on the rear-side and an 8MP front snapper.
The main aspect of Stylus 2 is its pen-like tool that comes with a nano-coated tip. To enhance the user experience, LG incorporated proprietary feature – "Pen Pop," which toggles a pop-up menu when the stylus is removed to offer shortcuts to Pop Memo and Pop Scanner.
Another notable feature of LG Stylus 2 is the "Pen Keeper," which prevents the stylus from getting misplaced. It displays a pop-up message when the phone is detected as being in motion, while the stylus bay is empty. LG has also included "Calligraphy Pen" font feature, which allows users to write notes decoratively as if using a fountain pen.
"LG Stylus 2 provides both the big screen and premium notetaking functions of a premium large phone at a price of a mid-tier phone," Juno Cho, president and CEO of LG Electronics Mobile Communications Company, said in a press statement.
"This device (LG Stylus 2) is another example of our commitment to the mass-tier segment where there is so much opportunity for growth and creativity." Cho added.

The company has confirmed that the new LG Stylus 2 will be showcased at MWC 2016, Barcelona, (Feb. 22-25) where details related to device's price and release date will be officially revealed.

Besides Stylus 2, LG is confirmed to showcase multiple phones such as the flagship G5, mid-range-based X Cam and X Screen at MWC 2016.
