Consumer electronics major, LG has unveiled budget smartphone Optimus L1 II.

LG Optimus L1 II sports 3.0-inch QVGA display with 320x240p resolutions and run on Android v4.1.2 Jelly bean OS with 512MB RAM and 4GB memory.

It has a 1540 mAh battery and is powered by Qualcomm processor with 1GHz CPU speed. It flaunts a 2.0-megapixel camera with 1600x1200p image resolution and comes with a fixed focus support.   

The South Korean company claimed that the feature-rich Optimus L1 II is especially targeted to teenage kids who usually groan about their limited budget allowances. It will be initially released in Vietnam with a price-tag of VND 1,990,000 (Vietnamese Dong), approximately ₹5,750.

According to reports, LG is expected later release this new phone in Russia, UK and other select global markets. However, the details regarding availability of Optimus L1 II in India is yet to be ascertained.

Considering the specifications and its price, LG Optimus L1 II fits the bill to make its debut in a price-sensitive market like India. Adding to that, LG has a pretty good reputation in the subcontinent. It currently offers a wide range of smartphones with price ranging from ₹4,300 to as high as ₹42,000. It has already launched Optimus L3 II, L4 II, L5 II and L7 II handsets in India, so it won't be a surprise if LG introduces Optimus L1 II in the coming days.
