LG launches Ice Cream Smart Flip-phone with Android KitKat OSLG Newsroom (South Korea)

South Korean consumer electronics giant LG on Tuesday unveiled a new flip-phone dubbed as Ice Cream Smart.

Tentatively titled Ice Cream Smart phone is a mid-range handset. It features 3.5-inch HVGA LCD screen and runs on the Android 4.4 KitKat OS.

Under the hood, it house 1.2GHz quad-core SoC (System on Chip), 1GB RAM, 8GB inbuilt memory, 8mp camera, 0.3mp VGA camera and a 1,700mAh battery.

Other notable features include DMB (Digital Media Broadcasting) TV option, T9 (3x4) numeric keypad, dedicated buttons for camera, Android's navigation buttons (back option, home and recent app access), Kakao Talk (a direct chat access button) and other services.

LG Ice Cream Smart availability details:

LG has reportedly confirmed that the new Ice Cream Smart flip-phone will hit stores in the home market South Korea on 30 January. However, the details regarding the phone's price and its availability in other global markets are still under wraps.
