Leonardo DiCaprio once again lost out in the race for Oscars this year. The fact has enraged and disappointed his fans but everyone is more worried about the safety of the star. Many even fear that after losing out for the fourth time, "The Titanic" star might commit suicide.

Many had hoped that the 39-year-old would finally get his first Oscar in 2014 for "The Wolf of Wall Street", two decades after he was first nominated. But first-time nominee Matthew McConaughey, with his great performance in "Dallas Buyers Club", beat DiCaprio.

Would Dicaprio commit suicide after losing the Academy Award again seems to be biggest worry of the fans. Liam Anderson(‏@Cantona03Liam) on his Twitter post said:"I can see breaking news headlines "Leonardo dicaprio has committed suicide please stay with us as we bring you live updates."

Another fan, Papi Chulo ‏@felixster23 tweeted:"Someone put Leo DiCaprio on suicide watch please."

It was back in 1994 that DiCaprio won his first Oscar nomination, for playing Arnie Grape in "What's Eating Gilbert Grape", which also starred Johnny Depp and Juliette Lewis. DiCaprio was nominated again for playing Howard Hughes in Martin Scorsese's "The Aviator" in 2005 but without success. The actor went on to earn another nomination in 2007 for his role as Danny Archer "Blood Diamond".

DiCaprio was nominated a fourth time for "The Wolf of Wall Street" this year, for his role as Jordan Belfort, the man who managed to rake in millions of dollars from several people in Wall Stareet and lived on a constant cocaine/Quaalude binge.

Soon after the announcement that Dicaprio lost the 86th Academy Awards Best Actor to McConaughey, several online pranksters tried to sell a hoax that the "Inception" actor has committed suicide.
