Lenovo Vibe Z Receiving Android 4.4.3 Kitkat OTA Update: Report

Lenovo has begun rolling out Android 4.4 KitKat update over-the-air (OTA) for the Vibe Z smartphone in Malaysia.

The company had earlier said that the Android KitKat update for the Vibe Z smartphone would start from May. Now a new report of Soyacincau reveals that the some of the Vibe Z users in Malaysia have started receiving the update and it is about 1.2GB in size. The change log of the update include enhancement like bug fixes, security improvement, better application compatibility and improved camera performances in the Vibe X smartphone.

Apart from this, the Android KitKat update is also expected to boost the UI transitions and the performance beside the smoother 4k video playback compatibility, multi-window mode and automatic profile changer.

Considering the latest update in Malaysia, users of Vibe Z in India are also likely to get the update soon. The company has also promised update for its Vibe X smartphone. As of now there is no report of Vibe X update.

Lenovo Vibe Z sports a 5.5-inch full HD (1920x1080p) IPS display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 and comes with Android v4.3 Jelly Bean. The smartpone is powered by 2.2GHz Snapdragon 800 series CPU coupled with Adreno 330 graphics card and 2GB RAM. In terms of internal storage, it packs 16GB memory.

Other features of the Lenovo phablet include 13.0-megapixel main camera, 5.0-megapixel-fixed focus front camera and 3,000 mAh battery. In India, the smartphone is retailed at price point of ₹33,999.
