Lenovo has released yet another budget smartphone, the Vibe K5, in India. The device flaunts a metal frame and is available in three colours — gold, grey and silver. Registrations to purchase the handset are open on Amazon India before sales begin on June 22.

The Lenovo Vibe K5 comes with a price tag of Rs. 6,999, which means it will have to take on several budget devices, including the Xiaomi Redmi 2 Prime (Rs. 6,999) and Meizu M2 (Rs. 6,999), in the Indian market. It is difficult to say which device you should buy, but here is specification comparison of the handsets to help you decide which one will suit you better:

Display:

Both the Lenovo Vibe K5 and Meizu M sport a 5.0-inch HD display with 1,280x720 pixels (294 ppi pixel density), while the Xiaomi Redmi 2 Prime sports a 4.7-inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen with 1,280x720 pixels (312 ppi pixel density).

Processor:

The Lenovo Vibe K5 is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 415 processor clocking at 1.4GHz, while the Xiaomi Redmi 2 Prime has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor clocking at 1.2 GHz, and Meizu M2 is powered by a 1.3 GHz Mediatek MT6735 processor.

Operating system:

The Lenovo Vibe K5 runs Google's latest OS Android 6.0 Marshmallow, while the Xiaomi Redmi 2 Prime runs Android 4.4.4 KitKat (upgradable to Android 5.1.1 Lollipop based MIUI 7.2.1), and Meizu M2 runs Android 5.1 Lollipop based UI - Flyme 4.5.

The Meizu M2 mounts a 13MP main camera with f/2.2 aperture, autofocus and LED flash, and a 5MP front-snapper with f/2.0 aperture, while the Xiaomi Redmi 2 Prime has an 8MP rear camera with f/2.2 aperture, 28mm, autofocus, LED flash and1.4 µm pixel size, and a 2MP secondary camera. The Lenovo Vibe K5, on the other hand, has a 13MP main camera with LED flash and autofocus, and a 5MP front-snapper with fixed focus.

Battery:

The Lenovo Vibe K5 is powered by a 2,750mAh battery compared to 2,500mAh seen in the Meizu M2, and 2,200mAh in the Xiaomi Redmi 2 Prime.
