Chinese consumer electronics major Lenovo on Tuesday launched the new big-screen smartphone dubbed as the Phab 2 Plus in India.
It sports a massive 6.4-inch full HD display and is powered by MediaTek octa-core processor with 3GB RAM, 32GB internal storage and a 4,050mAh battery, which is enough to keep the phablet running for the whole day.
The highlight of Lenovo Phab 2 Plus is its feature-rich camera hardware. It boasts dual-13MP cameras placed one-top-of-the-other with f/2.2 aperture, dual-tone LED flash, Laser autofocus and PDAF.
The most interesting feature of the Phab 2 Plus' camera is its AR Augmented Reality (AR) feature. The AR mode, allows users to swap backgrounds with virtual characters or cartoons in to images and videos with superimposed effects [watch demo video below].
That being said, the AR mode feature in the Phab 2 Plus is nowhere close to its high-tech sibling, the Phab 2 Pro, which is the commercial variant of Google Project Tango smartphone.
On the front, it houses an equally impressive 8MP snapper with wide angle field of view and full HD video recording.
Lenovo Phab 2 Plus price and availability:
Lenovo Phab 2 Plus will be exclusively available on Amazon India for Rs. 14,999 from Tuesday 1:00 pm onwards.
With a sub-Rs.15,000 price-tag, Lenovo Phab 2 Plus will be directly competing with the popular Xiaomi Mi Max and Samsung J Max.
