From the pool of several new budget smartphones, here is a brief comparison of best selling Lenovo A6000 and newly launched Asus ZenFone C for those who are puzzled between the two phones.

The smartphone battle is getting fierce in India, especially in the budget space. While most local smartphone makers are looking to take the lion's share, international manufacturers are betting huge on their dominance. Lenovo and Asus, two international mobile and PC makers, have entered the Indian smartphone market with several new entries and here's a brief comparison of two of the most recent phones from each company.

Lenovo A6000 has proven to be one of the hot budget devices in the market giving much value for a low price. Similarly, Asus joined the race with its latest Zenfone C to bring smartphones in the hands of those who cannot afford the high-end models. The comparison of both smartphones is based on the specs, features and if they are worth the price.

Display

Both smartphones have a vast difference in terms of both size and resolution. Clearly Lenovo A6000 comes out as a winner with a 5-inch IPS display with 1280 x 720 pixel resolution. The ZenFone C packs a 4.5-inch TFT LCD with a measly 854x480 pixel screen.

Camera

Lenovo A6000 sports an 8-megapixel rear-facing camera with LED flash and features like auto focus, geo tagging, touch focus and face detection. There is also a 2-megapixel front facing camera. In the Asus ZenFone C, the rear-side of the handset features a 5MP camera with LED flash and auto focus and the front side sports 0.3-megapixel shooter.

Lenovo once again performs better in terms of taking pictures, videos or even selfies.

Processor, RAM and OS

Lenovo is powered by a 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 SoC while the ZenFone C runs a 1.2GHz Intel Atom processor. Both phones have 1GB RAM and 8GB internal storage. But the memory on ZenFone can be expanded up to 64GB via microSD card while A6000 is limited to 32GB. Both phones are based on Android 4.4 KitKat with custom user interfaces. The Lenovo A6000, however, will be upgraded to Lollipop in the future.

Price

Pricing is a crucial selling point for smartphones in India and difference between the two phones is very small. The Lenovo A6000 is priced at ₹6,999 while the Asus ZenFone C is cheaper and costs just ₹5,999. For those who are low on budget can go for the latter while Lenovo smartphone offers more value for the extra cash.
