Leicester City striker Jamie Vardy has called his teammates brothers, and said the atmosphere in the dressing room led them to winning the Premier League. The 29-year-old has scored 24 goals in the league this year, firing the Foxes to their maiden title.
The England striker said: Ive said it before, and Ill say it again, were all literally like brothers. Were not like once you get to the training ground, thats it, we never see each other again. Were constantly talking with each other, going out for meals, and I think in the dressing room that is the main thing that got us where we are.
The Foxes lifted the Premier League trophy on 7 May, after defeating Everton at home. They won the title on 2 May, after second-placed Tottenham could only draw with Chelsea.
Vardy also pledged his future to the club saying: Ive just won the league, and Im playing in the Champions League next year, so Im happy here.
The striker is second in the Premier League top scorers chart, behind England teammate Harry Kane.
They are both expected to be named in Roy Hodgsons squad for Euro 2016, which is to be announced on 12 May.
