 The Legend Of The Blue Sea fans are still waiting for an official confirmation from SBS about the series renewal and they have already started speculating about the casting for season 2.

Many of the series lovers are expecting to see Lee Min Ho and Jun Ji Hyun back on screens as Kim Dam-ryeong a.k.a Heo Joon-jae and Se-hwa or Shim Cheong in the second season. The celebrities have also expressed their interest in joining the cast list of next instalment.

While the 35-year-old actress stated that she will work hard to greet her fans again in another work soon, her onscreen partner shared his hopes on filming another project in the near future.

However, both the cast members of The Legend Of The Blue Sea may not reprise their roles in season 2 due to several reasons. Lee Min Ho is currently preparing for his military enlistment and he may not be able to join the cast list in next Instalment. Similarly, Jun Ji Hyun is also busy with modelling for popular clothing brands, such as MICHAA.

 So a few fans of the Korean mini-series have already started speculated about the celebrities who could replace both the cast members in the second season. According to a Twitter poll conducted by IBTimes India, many of Kdrama lovers opined that Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo stars Nam Joo Hyuk and Lee Sung Kyung might portrays the lead protagonists in the second season of SBS drama.
 
A few of The Legend Of The Blue Sea fans also stated that Descendants Of The Sun stars Song Joong Ki and Song Hye Kyo might portray Kim Dam-ryeong a.k.a Heo Joon-jae and Se-hwa or Shim Cheong in the next instalment.
 
Some of the Korean drama lovers even opined that Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo stars Lee Joon Gi and Lee Ji Eun a.k.a IU could replace Lee Min Ho and Jun Ji Hyun in The Legend Of The Blue Sea season 2.

Since Lee Joon Gi has already opened up about his interest in starring in a romantic comedy drama, and he is looking forward to an offer, he will probably portray the lead protagonist in the next installement of SBS mini-series. But the fans will have to wait for an official confirmation from the actor or the network to know more about it.
