LeEco is enjoying incredible demand for its affordable Le 2 smartphone in India as its second flash sale ended after the stock ran out in a matter of few seconds. The company hasn't revealed the number of units it sold on Tuesday, but it is likely to have reached one lakh units as 50,000 handsets were sold in the first sale last week itself.

LeEco launched Le 2 alongside Le Max 2 in India last month and the attractive price tags of both devices generated a lot of attention from fans all over the country. The Le 2 smartphone, especially, makes quite an impression as it costs just Rs. 11,999 and offers true value for money. The premium-looking handset competes against industry's best sellers, Xiaomi Redmi Note 3, Lenovo ZUK Z1, Moto G4 Plus, Meizu M3 Note, and gets sizable attention.

The Le 2 smartphone was available on Flipkart and LeMall.com on Tuesday and the company ran out of stock in both marketplaces in a matter of seconds. We are yet to receive a confirmation on how long the sale lasted, but the company's tweet on Monday revealed that it received 4.5 lakh registrations for both Le 2 and Le Max 2 smartphones.

Like in the case of any flash sale, registrations are mandatory if buyers wish to purchase the Le 2 smartphone from Flipkart and LeMall.com. The next flash sale for the Le 2 smartphone will be held next Tuesday, July 12, and fresh registrations for the sale are open on Flipkart and LeMall.com. The flash sale will begin at 12 noon on both marketplaces and registrations will close at 11 am next Tuesday.

Unlike previous sales, where LeEco offered impressive deals on purchase of Le 2 smartphone such as free CDLA headphones, cash back and goodies, buyers will not be entertained with similar deals. Buyers can get an offer with Vodafone to double the data and get 10 percent cash back with Citi debit and credit card on Flipkart.

In terms of specifications, LeEco Le 2 offers a 5.5-inch Full HD IPS display, a 16MP primary camera, dual LED flash, PDAF and an 8MP front snapper. It is powered by a Snapdragon 652 octa-core processor, 3GB RAM and offers 32GB onboard storage. The handset packs a 3,000mAh battery with fast charging technology and runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow based eUI 5.8 OS.

LeEco adds the premium touch to Le 2 with its high-grade metal body, ultra-fast and accurate fingerprint scanner, USB Type-C port for charging and audio with CDLA standard, dual SIM card slots, 4G and VoLTE support. The Le 2 smartphone also comes with free LeEco Membership for one year worth Rs. 4,990.
