Home-bred smartphone-maker Lava International has initiated a promotional activity on social media hinting a new smartphone launch.

Lava (via Facebook) has posted a couple of cryptic messages with #perfectmatch hash-tags, implying that the company is coming up with a perfect smartphone for fans.

We are not sure which device Lava will unveil, but there are a couple of theories running wild on the Internet; one says Lava might unveil a new handset dubbed as Iris X5 4G, which was recently spotted on benchmarking sites. Another rumour is that Lava might launch the eagerly awaited Android One 2.0 series. Many are betting high on the latter to turn true because BGR India has just received a press invite for a 27 July event.

The press invitation reads, "Witness the power of 1." The numerical one is graphically constructed with phrases: "the one that will never grow old, will respect privacy, will keep you powered longer and help you create memories," all hinting that the company is most likely to launch second generation Android One series on Monday.

The upcoming Lava Android One handset is said to be retailed in the competitive mid-range category featuring 5.0-inch display, latest Android OS, 2GB RAM, a Mediatek processor, probably a 64-bit class Octa-core CPU seen in the recently released Lenovo phones.
