Indian handset maker, Lava Mobiles has released a couple of competitively priced Android smartphones- Iris 352e and Iris 503 in to the burgeoning low-cost subcontinent market.

Lava Iris 352e sports 3.5-inch HVGA (480x320p) display and runs on the Android v4.2 Jelly Bean OS powered by a 1.2GHz dual-core processor with 256 RAM, 512MB inbuilt storage with options of expansion up to 32GB via microSD card.

The Lava phone priced ₹4,290 boasts of 5.0-megapixel main camera and 0.3-megapixel VGA camera. Only downside of this device is that it lacks 3G network support.

On the other hand, Lava Iris 503 flaunts a bigger 5.0-inch IPS based screen with qHD (540x960p) display resolutions and runs on the Android v4.2 Jelly Bean out-of-the-box.

Other specifications include 512MB RAM, 4GB inbuilt memory (expandable up to 32GB), 1.2GHz dual-core chipset, 5.0-megapixel main camera (with flash support), 1.2-megapixel secondary front-facing camera, 3G network support, Google Maps for navigation, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and other connectivity related features.

Both Lava Iris 352e and Iris 503 (₹8,990) are available for purchase at the online store Flipkart.
