Leaders in the Indian political cadre bid adieu to the master blaster Sachin Tendulkar, after he exited with a score of 74, just 26 runs short of a century, on Friday from his 200th tes match against West Indies.

The batsman acknowledged the standing ovation and applause by removing his helmet and raising his bat to the crowds at the Wankhede stadium in Mumbai.

On Thursday Azad had praised Tendulkar saying, "A great cricketer and a great human being. He went through a lot of criticism but the only speaking he did was through his bat."
