Italian sports carmaker Automobili Lamborghini on Thursday launched the Hucaran Avio, a special edition that pays tribute to the world of aviation and aeronautics. Limited to a production run of just 250 units, the Huracan Avio has been priced at Rs 3.71 crore, ex-showroom, pan-India.

The special edition stands apart from the regular version of the Huracan, with a white or grey touch on the lower part of the mirrors, side sills, and the front spoiler's lip. Twin racing stripes that run on the roof and bonnet add a race car-like style. The door panels come with the logo L63, where L stands for Lamborghini and 63 is the year the company was founded.

The Huracan Avio is available in five new exclusive colours — Grigio Falco with pearlescent finish, and four optional matt colours of Blu Grifo, Grigio Nibbio, Grigio Vulcano and Verde Turbine. The interior has been spruced up with black leather finished in Alcantara. The Huracan's interiors are inspired from fighter jet aircraft with digital instrument clusters, controls located on the centre console as in airplane cockpits, and the red engine start button.

The powertrain of the special edition does not possess any tweaks. The Huracan Avio is powered by a naturally-aspirated 5.2-litre V10 engine that develops 602bhp of power at 8,250rpm and 560Nm of torque, mated to seven-speed dual clutch transmission. All the power is transmitted to all four wheels and the sports car needs just 3.2 seconds to sprint to 100kmph. Huracan Avio comes with a top speed of over 325kmph.
