Lakme Fashion Week Summer/Resort 2015, which completes 15 years this month, is about to commence. Great Indian designers including Manish Malhotra and Sabyasachi will be showcasing their spring-summer collections.

However, out of 84 designers, few of them shared their designs to have a sneak-peak on their creative work.

Shilpa Reddy

Shilpa Reddy is all geared up for the upcoming Lakme Fashion Week, which will be held in Mumbai on 22 March 2015.

Designer Reddy has been a part of Minh Anh's J Autumn Show 2014, where she became the first Indian designer to showcase her collection at The Eiffel Tower in Paris. She will now showcase her collection 'Floral Geometry' for Jessica Minh Anh's show this year in New York.

"I am very happy to be a part of J Spring 2015," she said. "I have always been excited about being in New York and displaying my work. I want to let the city know that ethnic Indian fabrics can find their way through Western designs. New York itself features a mini India, including many of my loyal customers who live here! I had also promised myself that whenever I showcase my work internationally I will make it a point to depict pure and authentic Indian materials."

She has competed in the popular Gladrags Mrs India contest in 2004 and won the coveted title.

Rimi Nayak

Rimi Nayak is ready to take you on a colourful journey of travel on 21 March.

A vibrant combination of bold colours and geometric shapes has been combined to create the brilliant collections for the Lakme Fashion Week S/R 2015.

"It's good to be back! The past few days have been crazy and I am eagerly waiting to reveal my collection. I've been travelling quite a lot in the past few months and that is how the collection 'Trail Tales' was born. I'm pretty excited to showcase my designs for the 7th LFW season," she said.

Neha Agarwal

Designer Neha Agarwal is set to showcase her collection at the Lakme Fashion Week 2015 on 21 March with the theme 'From Russia, With Love'. The collection is to take the viewers to the form-fitting fashion of early 1900s Russia. She will present Russian-inspired silhouettes and motifs fused with Indian fabrics and techniques as her designer collections.

"It is an always a pleasure being a part of the Lakme Fashion Week," said Neha, "I've worked ardently to create my designs - I eagerly wait for the show to begin."

She supplies her well-designed clothing line to well-known stores like Kimaya, Fuel and SASYA/SIMAAYA.

Gaurang Shah

Gaurang Shah, who is known as textile and fashion designer, will unveil his 'Kalpavriksha' collection at LFW spring/summer 2015 on 19 March.

"This collection is a representation of the tree of life woven by the jamdani weavers from Andhra Pradesh and Bangladesh symphonized with phulkari, kalamkari and chikankari. It is also a perfect tribute to the beautiful summer friendly fabric and our ancient mythology. Kalpavriksha branches bore every kind of fruit and flower one wished for, and the apple of the tree was believed to have the virtue of conferring eternal life upon human that tasted it," Shah explained.

"It is yet another presentation of Indian Textile innovation by involving my signature technique Jamdani, a discontinuous extra weft art that is intricately handcrafted. I am confident that this collection and the presentation settings in the hall will 'Wow' the audience," he added.

New Age celebs like Sonam Kapoor, Vidya Balan, Tapsee Pannu, Ashwini Ponappa and Priya Mani also vouch for Shah's creations as they feel he brings a perfect twist, blending past with the present.
