After postponing the release date twice, the makers of Malayalam movie "Valliyum Thetti Pulliyum Thetti" (VTPT) have confirmed that the Kunchacko Boban and Shamili-starrer will hit the screens in the second week of May.

The movie, touted as a retro modern classic, is now poised to release in Kerala on May 12. The directorial debut of Rishi Sivakumar has already impressed movie-goers with its colourful posters, trailer and songs. Debutant Sooraj S Kurup, who has composed the music of the family entertainer, has been garnering tremendous response from the audience, and even filmmaker B Unnikrishnan had lauded the musician for his work in the film.

"VTPT" has been in the news ever since the makers revealed the leading lady: It marks the comeback of actress Shamili to Mollywood after a gap of 18 years. "VTPT" is her first movie as heroine in Malayalam, as she was last seen as a child artiste in the blockbuster Mammootty-Mohanlal starrer "Harikrishnans" in 1998. It has to be noted that Shamili's sister Shalini also made her debut as a heroine with Kunchacko in the 1997 Malayalam movie "Aniyathipravu."

"VTPT" also has Renji Panicker, Manoj K Jayan, Suresh Krishna, Sudheer Karamana, Saiju Kurup and Krishna Sankar in significant roles, and is being produced by Faizal Latheef.
