'Kumkum Bhagya:' Is Abhi pretending to be suffering from partial memory loss?

After Abhi Mehra's (Shabir Ahluwalia) memory loss, the makers of "Kumkum Bhagya" are leaving no stone unturned to keep the show's viewers enthralled. Several elements, such as Abhi failing to recognise his wife Pragya (Sriti Jha), his sister Aaliya's devious plan of destroying his life and many hit-and-miss moments between Abhi and Pragya, have been working in favour of the show and its ratings.

"Kumkum Bhagya" has been consistently making it to the top position of Television Rating Points (TRPs) charts every week, beating other popular TV shows. The ratings indicate that the ongoing track has been winning the audience.

However, the ongoing track also makes us wonder if the male protagonist is pretending to have lost his memory. Readers may recall that several months ago, Pragya had met with an accident after she learnt about Aaliya and Tanu's evil plans but was saved later. The protagonist then transformed herself to a bold lady and re-entered the Mehra family to expose the antagonists. Unaware of Pragya's truth, Abhi believed that his wife was no longer the kind and simple girl whom his loved dearly, but has changed to a cruel and unkind lady.

It was only recently that Abhi found out about Pragya's truth and why she had to transform herself into a bold lady. He even found out about Aaliya and Tanu's evil deeds and had decided to throw them out of his life. But just then, Abhi met with an accident, after which he was seen to have been suffering from partial memory loss. So, is Abhi pretending to be suffering from amnesia to expose Aaliya and Tanu, keeping Pragya unaware of his truth? Only time will tell.

In other news, Arijit Taneja aka Purab, who was said to be serving his notice period after putting down his papers, would continue to be a part of the show till September. Arijit was supposed to wrap up his shoot on Aug.12, but the makers have not finalised his replacement and hence his exit has been delayed.
