Kolkata, April 1 (ANI): General elections boost the confectionaries business in Kolkata as all parties have been purchasing confectionaries in bulk during polls to garner voters' support. Several sweet makers of the city have started making poll sweets 'nirbachoni mishti', as they call it, and are concentrating on symbols of candidates and their parties and have also started designing the "victory sweets". These are selling like 'hot cakes' among the residents and party supporters. The oldest sweet makers have also made special sweets like 'sandesh', a typical Bengali sweet, with the words 'Joyee Hao' (be victorious) coated on them with cottage cheese. Special counters have also been created for these sweets. However, curious patrons and party workers have already started buying them.
