Sunday's episode of "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" saw Kim Kardashian undergoing a surgery to increase her chances of getting pregnant.

Kim's placenta had grown onto her uterus, reducing her chances of conceiving a second time. But on Sunday's episode, viewers saw fertility expert Dr. Andy Huang giving Kim hopes for expanding her family by cleaning out the placenta.

Showing Kris Jenner X-ray pictures of her daughter's uterus, Huang said: "I cleaned all that out. That might be old placenta, and then at the end of it you have a nice clear cavity."

Kris noted: "With this clean, she should be able to get pregnant on her own."

The doctor said he was optimistic and added, "I'm going to put her on some hormones and that will get her to her next cycle." This prompted Kris to quip, "Hopefully she'll move out by then, so I don't have to go through yet another menstrual cycle with her."

A relieved Kim later told the cameras: "The fact that the doctor is saying that this went well is amazing. There is nothing more on this earth that I would want than to be pregnant again."

Although the recent episodes of "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" were all about Kim's struggles to get pregnant again, the reality show star is yet to get pregnant. During her first difficult pregnancy, Kim was very vocal about not wanting to go through the experience again, but being a mother to North West appears to have changed her attitude.

Meanwhile, David Samadi, chairman of urology and chief of robotic surgery at Lenox Hill Hospital, told the New York Daily News that cleansing can increase a woman's chances of getting pregnant.

However, "I wouldn't recommend scheduling the procedure tomorrow or at your next gynecologist appointment. I prefer looking into natural herbs like ginger, marigold, motherwort and raspberry leaf that help cleanse the uterine walls. Women should try this prior to getting pregnant," he said.
