In the new "Ki and Ka" poster, Kareena Kapoor Khan broke a major rule she and her husband Saif Ali Khan had set for themselves. The leading lady and her co-star Arjun Kapoor are shown lip-locking in the poster.
Talking to The Times of India, the actors said it captures the vibe of the film adding that everyone loved it. "I guess it is my first kissing poster but I don't think it is a big deal. We play a cool, unconventional couple in the film; if we don't kiss, who will?" Kareena further added.
This statement is in stark contrast to what she told Rediff in an interview, almost two years ago. "No, I don't think so. I am married and both Saif and I have decided that we will not kiss on screen. I am sure romance can be shown without a lip lock and history has proved that in Indian cinema," she had said.
Meanwhile, Arjun is extremely kicked about playing a house-husband and making his on-screen wife breakfast. Since he wanted to look comfortable in the role, he apparently took classes to perfect his culinary skills.
"I had to learn some basic cooking, not too much. I can make pasta and scrambled eggs. I can also make some fancy frittata. And believe it or not, before I did this film, I didn't even know how to make chai, I learnt that too. I also know how to chop some vegetables," he elaborated.
The R Balki directorial is, as Arjun puts it, "hatke," and will take on a different aspect of marriage altogether. Growing up, Arjun's character Kabir wanted to be like his mother, which is why he doesn't mind staying at home, cooking and doing the household chores.
The trailer is scheduled for a Feb. 15 release.
