A 15-year-old girl from Kerala has been found dead after falling from the 14th floor of Juma Al Majid building in Sharjah Al Nahda in the UAE.

The mishap occured on Sunday, 15 November, and reports suggest that the girl went straight to the balcony of the building after returning from the school and committed suicide.

Mehak, who hails from Tirur in Malappuram, was a class 10 student of Sharjah Delhi private school.

The police have launched an investigation to find the reason behind the girl's suicide, reported Khaleej Times. Her mortal remains have been kept at the mortuary of Kuwait hospital.

The deceased is the eldest daughter of Lulu group Vegetable section global manager Sulfiker and Jaseena. She is survived by her parents and three siblings.

Just last month, another 16-year-old girl identified as Rose Mary, daughter of Simon Sebastian, who hails from Mathilakam in Thrissur, also commited suicide by jumping off the 7th floor balcony of a residential building in Abu Shagara in Sharjah.
