Joshy aka Achayan, who is said to be the main mediator the sex racket case unearthed recently in Kerala, surrendered before the investigating officer on Monday, 23 November.

Joshy, who hails from Kodencheri in Kozhikode, reportedly used to be an agent providing minor girls for sex trafficking in Kerala. He is the fifth accused in the Paravoor sex scandal case, and is also connected with the Varapuzha scandal case. He had also been in prison for five months in connection with the cases.

The court on Monday has sent six accused, including Rahul and Resmi to seven days of custody and others have been sent to four-day custody.

It was last Wednesday that "Kiss of Love" activists Rahul Pashulapan and his wife, model Resmi Nair, were arrested as part of "Operation Big Daddy" in connection with the online sex racket. Investigators initially tracked Abdul Kadar aka Akbar after posing as a "customer", and unearthed Rahul and Resmi's involvement in the flesh trade: During their WhatsApp conversations, Akbar mentioned the minors as well as Resmi.

Akbar demanded Rs 80,000 for Resmi, but the amount was negotiated to Rs 50,000-60,000, while the rate for a minor was Rs 1.5 lakh.
