The Kerala police has reportedly concluded the investigation in connection with the death of small time actress Shilpa, 19, who was found dead under mysterious circumstances in the state's capital city on 18 July.
Even though the actress' parents had filed a police complaint claiming it as a case of murder, the investigators have now concluded it by saying that Shilpa had committed suicide.
Shilpa, who had acted in a few Malayalam and Tamil TV serials and films, was found dead in Karamana river in Thiruvananthapuram and the autopsy report had also suggested that she was drowned in water. Following the request of her family members, her internal organs were also tested and police claim the new report matches with the previous post mortem report.
Shilpa's father had also doubted the involvement of some sex racket in her death, however, in connection with the death, a youth, identified as Lijin, was only arrested from Kattakada in the state capital.
Police believe Shilpa had commited suicide after having issues with her love interest Lijin.
Meanwhile, the parents of the actress, still believe it as a murder case and also suspect the involvement of a girl, with whom Shilpa was last seen by her parents before she left to attend a function at a house in Balaramapuram.
Shilpa, who hails from Vellanad in Thiruvananthapuram, was a plus two student at Sasthamangalam RKD Memorial Higher Secondary School and has appeared in Santhosh Pandit films.
