The movie has performed well at the multiplexes in Kochi, breaking the collection record of the actor-director duo's previous comedy entertainer "Oru Vadakkan Selfie" (OVS). "JSR" is said to have collected Rs. 2.25 crore from Kochi multiplexes within 28 days of its release, while the total collection of "OVS" from the multiplexes in the city stood at Rs. 2.21 crore.
