Imran Khan and Kangana Ranaut starrer "Katti Batti" has opened to low occupancy in the morning and afternoon shows. The love story, which opened to mixed critics reviews, has received only 15 to 20% occupancy in the morning and afternoon shows.

"Katti Batti" is a love story and features Imran and Kangana in the lead roles. The film managed to create a good hype before its release, but sadly, failed to turn that good buzz into good occupancy on its first day.

The occupancy is expected to increase in the evening and night shows since the most of the reviews are in the favour of the film. "Katti Batti" is expected to have good box office run in Mumbai, Bangalore, Delhi NCR, Pune and other circuits.

Meanwhile, while talking to IBTimes India Imran said that he does not have any expectations from the film as the success will depend on audiences.

"I never know what to expect from films. The reality is you never know what people will like or what they will not like. All you can do is make a film that you believe in, you are happy, you are proud," Imran said.

But he also added that the box office success of the film is important.

"The fact is that movies are a good business and somebody is investing money in it, and people who are taking responsibility must provide returns," he said.
