Bollywood is shocked to hear that evergreen actress Rekha abandoned "Fitoor" after completing the shooting. According to the actress, she didn't look better than Katrina Kaif in the film.

The "Khubsoorat" (1980) actress completed the shooting of "Fitoor", in which she was playing the character of Begum, the Indian version of Miss Havisham, in this adaptation of Charles Dickens' novel "Great Expectations". She shot the scenes again, but later walked out of the film.

Currently, Tabu has signed to replace Rekha and now, director Abhishek Kapoor will have to shoot the scenes again with Tabu.

Several reasons are making rounds regarding Rekha's walking out of "Fitoor."

It is said that the veteran actress was insecure with Katrina's beauty as the latter looked prettier than her on-screen. Rekha was unhappy with her looks and shooting the scenes again also didn't help.

Reports state that producer Siddharth Roy Kapur also tried to stop Rekha from leaving this project.

"Rekha had a scene opposite Katrina after the shot she went to the monitor and demanded that Abhishek delete the scene or then Katrina from it. When he didn't oblige she threatened to leave the film. Abhishek refused to give in and hence Rekha walked out," a source said, Bollywood Life reported.

"Rekha felt that Katrina looked too stunning and hence did not want the scene to make it to the final cut," he further said.

Also, there was a buzz that she walked out of the film because of "date issues". People were surprised to hear the news as Rekha doesn't have any other projects in hand currently.

In the film, Tabu will play a character with grey shades, while Aditya Roy Kapur will portray the role of a Kashmiri lad, Noor, and the "Jagga Jasoos" actress will be his ladylove Firdaus.

"Kai Po Che" director Abhishek Kapoor's "Fitoor" will be released in February 2016.
