Actress Katrina Kaif is likely to give the prestigious Cannes International Film festival a miss for alleged boyfriend Ranbir Kapoor.

Kaif, who was expected to grace the 67th Cannes festival this year for her brand related commitments, is expected to give her film with Kapoor a priority.

The actress in earlier reports had expressed doubts over her presence in the festival due to her tight packed schedule. And now it is being alleged that the actress will be shooting with Kapoor for "Jagga Jasoos" and will not be able to make it to the annual film festival.

Since "Jagga Jasoos" is Kapoor's own production and the film's schedule is set around 14 May, the same time when the Cannes festival begins, the actress has chosen to stick around with Kapoor and shoot for the movie.

"When Katrina received the invitation, she was seriously considering going, as Cannes is one of the most prestigious film events...But she decided against going as she doesn't want to disrupt the schedule of her film," a source close to Katrina told Hindustan Times.

"Ranbir is involved in this movie not only as a producer, but also as the lead actor opposite Katrina, so this film is very important to both of them...it (the film) is being touted as a big project, Katrina doesn't want to miss out on anything, nor does she want the makers to rework the dates and complicate things further," the source added.

"Jagga Jasoos" directed by Anurag Basu has already shot some parts and Kapoor, who is portraying a young detective in the flick will go leaner to sport the lanky teenage look.

Meanwhile, Cannes this year will have the regular Bollywood face Aishwarya Rai Bachchan along with husband Abhishek. Sonam Kapoor too is expected to make an appearance in the prestigious event owing to her association with a reputed cosmetic brand like Aishwarya.

"There is a little too much of date problems between "Bang Bang", "Phantom" and Anurag Basu's film "Jagga Jasoos." So it may not be this year, but next year," said Kaif at an event last month when asked about attending the Cannes Festival.
