It seems former lovers Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif still share a close rapport.
Ever since Salman and Katrina broke up, reports of discord between the two have always made it to the news.
Only last year, we witnessed an uncomfortable situation between Katrina and Salman, when the actress turned up at the latter's house on Ganesh Chaturthi. Video grabs from the event showed that the superstar ignored his ex-flame, as an unattended Katrina was seen sitting alone.
Apart from this, Salman has been recorded taking lighthearted digs at the actress and her new boyfriend Ranbir Kapoor on various instances, proving beyond doubt that the once-good terms between the ex-lovers soured over time.
However, the "Dhoom 3" actress has now dispelled reports of a friction. The actress has stated that she is still in touch with the superstar, who is always there for her.
"Salman Khan is always there, he is always just a message away. I am still very much in touch with him," Katrina was quoted by the Daily Bhaskar.
The actress's all-good-in-the-hood comment comes at a time when Salman was also seen extending support to his former girlfriend. At a recent award function, the 48-year-old was seen disagreeing with filmmaker Karan Johar, who had ranked Katrina at the bottom position for her acting skills. Salman requested him to fare the actress better.
When she made known of the incident, the London-based actress seemed clearly elated as she responded saying that Salman's suggestion was important and should always be respected.
It should also be noted that the superstar had come out supporting Katrina when her holiday picture with Ranbir was leaked in the media. Salman had condemned the incident and said the leak was an infringement of privacy.
Well Katrina may have assured the media on her good equation with Salman but it remains to be seen whether the duo would pair up again for a film in the future. The actors were last seen in the blockbuster "Ek Tha Tiger" (2012).
