'Kaththi' Star Vijay Suggested Dhanush's Name for KV Anand's 'Anegan'

Ilayathalapathy Vijay is often approached by many filmmakers and he misses out on many offers due to multiple reasons. One big project that he could not take up is Dhanush's forthcoming Tamil movie "Anegan". 

Director KV Anand has revealed that Vijay, who is basking in the success of "Kaththi", was the first choice to star in "Anegan". The director approached him and had a few rounds of talks. But the Ilayathalpathy could not take up the project because the director wanted dates that were already allotted to another movie.

However, Vijay politely suggested that the role would fit Dhanush well, and it was based on his suggestion that the director decided to cast the "Kolaveri Di" hitmaker in the lead role.

"Anegan" is a romantic entertainer produced by Kalapathi S Aghoram. Amyra Dastur, Aishwarya Devan and Karthik are in the key roles. Ashish Vidyayarthi, Atul Kulkarni, Mukesh Tiwari, Thalaivasal Vijay and others are in the supporting cast. While Om Prakash has handled the camera, Anthony is going to edit the movie.

Buzz says that the film will release on 5 December.

Meanwhile, "Anegan" is getting ready for its audio release on 10 October. Harris Jayaraj has composed the music for the forthcoming Tamil movie and its lyrics have been penned by Rokesh, Vairamuthu, CS Amudhan and Kabilian. On the other hand, the tracks list has been released. See it below:
