The Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton, and the royal family have not made any official announcement regarding the third baby, but that hasn't stopped bookies from slashing the odds. Bookies have speculated the dates of the announcement of the third royal baby.

Speculations about Kate's third pregnancy have been doing the round for quite some time now. There were also reports that the royals will make an announcement about baby no. 3 during Christmas.

Following the speculations about Kate's third pregnancy, bookies have cut the odds to 4/6 for a 2017 announcement of baby no. 3, while 4/1 shot claims that the news will be announced before the end of the year. There is also a possibility that Kate's third pregnancy might be announced in 2018 or beyond, but the possibility for that is just 3/1.

"The sight of Kate and Wills with George and Charlotte has sent royal baby watchers into overdrive. A 2016 announcement seems unlikely but if the money's to be believed 2017 looks like a certainty," Jessica Bridge of Ladbrokes told Mirror.co.uk.

"Fans of the Duke and Duchess are hoping the couple make an addition to their gorgeous brood sooner rather than later," she added.

Meanwhile in September, there were reports that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, parents of Prince George and Princess Charlotte, want a third baby soon. "They (Prince and Kate) want a third baby soon. It would not surprise me if they were pregnant by Christmas," a source told US Weekly.

"I think they both would have been overwhelmed at the thought of a third child a year ago," the source said, adding: "but now it sounds perfect. They've both always wanted a big family."
