Malayalam actress Apoorva Bose, who was stranded in the Kashmir floods returned home safely.

The actress landed in Nedumbaserry Airport (Cochin) along with the team of 45 members who were stuck in the flood-hit area.

Apoorva went for an adventure trip with a Mumbai based trekking group along with seven others from Kochi. The actress was stranded for three days without food and proper shelter in the flood hit Kashmir. The actress is yet to recover as several of her teammates are still missing.

"We went trekking in a hill station named Sonamarg, which is 12,000 feet above Srinagar. It is not supposed to snow there but it did heavily, and we got stranded in the snow; all roads were blocked. We had to travel on foot, and for five days we were walking all day. It was an avalanche prone area and after we left, there was apparently a cloudburst there. It was crazy; there were no mobile signals, and you never know what is there under the snow you are walking on, there could be water," said Apoorva to The Times of India.

Later, the team met an army cordon, who helped them to reach Srinagar. The team was later shifted to a homestay and was later warned by the landlady about the flood and asked them to move to a different hotel.

"Our flight was in the morning and we were about to leave but in a span of just an hour, the water levels shot up and there were floods everywhere. Later, we learnt that the homestay had collapsed; we still have no news about the landlady."

"We spent the next three days in the hotel. It was a luxury hotel but water had reached till the third floor and there was no food or water. Again there was no mobile signal and we survived on the leftover food packets from the trekking trip. We would slice a badam into two and have it for breakfast, have just one sip of water all day."

"Finally, an army helicopter found us and we were airlifted and taken to a point near the airport from where we reached Chandigarh in a defence aircraft," the actress recalled.

Apoorva started her career as an actress in 2010, through her debut Malayalam movie "Malarvadi Arts Club", directed by Vineeth Sreenivasan. Later, she went on to do Mohanlal starrer "Pranayam",  "Padmasree Bharat Dr. Saroj Kumar", "Husbands in Goa", "Pakida" among others.
