Bangalore, Aug 25 (ANI): The Congress won two of the three seats in Karnataka assembly by elections for which counting was held on Monday. Byelections were held to Bellary Rural, Shikaripur in Shimoga and Chikkodi-Sadalga in Belgaum districts on August 21. The Congress wrested Bellary Rural from the BJP, retained Chikkodi-Sadalga, while former chief minister B S Yeddyurappa once again established his hold over Shikaripur with his son B Y Raghavendra winning it. Meanwhile, expressing his happiness over the victory Karnataka chief minister Siddaramaiah, said that the Congress winning in majority of the bypolls across the country shows that Narendra Modi's victory was a temporary one.
